Representatives of the Friends of Sycamore Shoals are shown presenting Mark and Sherry an award of appreciation for advising the park on how to portray 18th century Cherokee people in "Liberty," the outdoor drama presented at the fort in Elizabethton each July.  The first act of the drama involves the Transylvania Purchase in which much of Middle Tennessee and Kentucky were opened for white settlement.
